Hi. Korethi here and I'd like to welcome you people to the Werewolf Guild, a haven for those who, like the title states, have a love for the furry creatures of the night that walk the earth.
The Guild was started yesterday as a result of the realization of anti-werewolf sentiment in the world today and that the Twilight cult has dominated the world. Internet bloggers call them bibliophiles and the budget to make the movie was called a modest $37 million. That money could be going to so many better things. Education for example, which in California is being cut another $12 billion. And then the movie grossed $70 million, which could also be used for state and local needs.
We will never see that money...
Back to topic, not that the economy isn't a great topic to talk about, everywhere you go, you see the followers of the cult. In books and in video games, you are many times more likely to see vampires than werewolves and why?
Because they have been stereotyped and put down as brutes and beasts. If a werewolf was kind and only wanted to help others or just live its own life the way that it wants to that is not based on their stereotype, it's not okay. It's never okay for them, because they're werewolves, because they have fur, because they kill without remorse.
Flip that around: a vampire can live as the terror of the world, a night stalker that usually takes young maidens to their homes and either has sex with them, drinks their blood, or makes her his slave. Yet, during the time that the maiden is with the vampire, 9 times out of 10, she'll fall in love with him and consent willingly to him and protect him. Because apparently he had some seductive quality to him and a lust that should really appeal to people right? And when he dies eventually, if he dies, then she is so heartbroken and sad that for the longest time, she won't be able to function sanely.
It's such a gross stereotype that it makes me angry. And because of this stereotype, vampires have now became the most cliche mythical creature to hit the minds of the people, aside from necromancy and dragons. Necromancy, thankfully, isn't that overused. Dragons are sorta...And werewolves are still the bane of man's existence. I mean come on now- what do vampires have that werewolves don't?
So for all of you wolf and werewolf lovers out there in the world, this is a place for you. Display your art and your stories or whatever you want and worry not for the stereotypes that the world has to offer. If you want a gentle werewolf, have at you. If you want a mean one, still have at you. This guild is for you.
If you want to submit work on here, please send it to my email address- mindscapekorekun@yahoo.com- and I will put it up as promptly as possible.
And please enjoy.
~Korethi
